Is Your Dream Big Enough to Build a Home Based Business

Posted on 03. May, 2010 ·View Comments

To build a successful home based business, requires a plan, tenacity, and fortitude.  We need to have a dream that is big enough to do that and not just a pie in the sky. It needs to move us everyday and be our call to action to take Massive Action.

Last month, I attended a Master Marketing Event for my home based business in Boca Raton, Florida. One of our leaders asked us all if “Our Dream was Big Enough?” I thought what the heck is he talking about? I dream big all the time. But, that is not really the point IF you dream.

If you want to build a successful quit your J.O.B. home based business, just wanting it to be successful is not going to cut it. He then asked us if our dream makes us jump out of bed in the morning ready to take more massive action in achieving it. That’s a fantastic feeling when you hop out of bed knowing you are going to to what is takes that day to build your dream. And, he also said that our dream should makes us not want to got to bed at night because we are so committed to and excited to building our dream. It instills us with such drive and determination that we see it as who we are. We can see it, touch it, feel it, and even smell it. Everyone around us will begin to take notice. We don’t care what the naysayers say or think because our dream IS big enough.

If your dream does not have this affect, then your dream might not big enough to build your home based business. Perhaps you have a job that already does this to you and this is okay too. Not everyone is cut out for a home based business. Nothing comes with shortcuts. It takes planning and concise action.  When you want something bad enough, you will do what is takes to get it. That perseverance and commitment of your dream will get you there.

There are many challenges when it comes to building a home based business.  Be sure to check out this video as well on the subject. There are communities available to help show you the way. Help! My MLM sponsor quit…..now I’m up this creek with no stinking paddle!

Posted on 02. Apr, 2010 ·View Comments

HELP! My MLM sponsor quit…now I’m up this creek with no stinking paddle.

It can happen to anyone. You’ve joined a company and your MLM sponsor quits! All of the promises they made and support they were going to give you has vanished. You can take a moment and be upset. But, STOP right there. Your sponsor is not responsible for your success at all. The beauty of network marketing is that your income is not contingent on their success. Your success is contingent upon YOU.

So pick yourself up and dust yourself off. Here are a few excellent ways to put a paddle back in your hands to continue going upstream in your business. These are helpful whether your MLM sponsor quits or if they’ve played the Houdini trick and have simply disappeared. Whatever you do, don’t expect to be coddled by anyone. You must move forward on your own accord and get back on track

-Immediately find out who the leaders are in your company if you don’t already know. Perhaps you’ve met them at an event. Ask if you can join in on their team calls. One of their strong team members may be able to mentor you.

-Engross yourself in your company’s training. You might need to go back to the basics.

-Commit yourself to reading books on Mindset and branding YOU, INC. The best place to start for this is Mike Dillard’s Magnetic Sponsoring.

-Make sure you go to websites like BetterNetworker.com. Here you can find network marketers from a multitude of countries, companies, backgrounds, and experiences. There’s excellent training available there. You can find reviews on companies, advice, tips, and so much more.

Make sure that you are committed to your current opportunity. If your sponsor quitting has put a bad taste in your mouth regarding your opportunity, then look for another one. Whatever you do, DON’T jump at the next big or best looking thing. This can be an empowering time for you. Do your due diligence to find what fits your needs best.

-Talk to people in companies that appeal to you. Connect with them on social media and find out what they like about their opportunity.

-Once you select a new opportunity for yourself, you can sponsor shop if you like. You might have seen someone on the internet, seen a video, or read an article of a potential sponsor that appeals to you. Get in touch with them.

The list goes on and on of things you can do when your sponsor quits. Even when you hand select a sponsor, things may not go as planned. Always be taking the steps to groom yourself as a leader. This way you will be adding value to your skill set everyday along the way.

The important thing to do is get back on track and play victim. This is a time to turn the situation around and develop your leadership skills and YOU, Inc. It’s one of the reasons why I have joined a community that ensures I’m not on my own regardless of my sponsor. Everyone likes being part of a team. Or, have you lost that Entrepreneurial spirit you had as a kid. Remember, we thought we could be astronauts, vetrinarians, Miss America! We could be whatever we wanted or even imagined. I implore you to not settle. Please visuallize everyday who you want to be and where you want to go. You can and you will do it.

Friends Don’t Let Friends Buy Network Marketing Leads

Posted on 16. Mar, 2010 ·View Comments

Okay, so how many of us have been there done that? So, many network marketers buy leads thinking it will instantly boost their business. Unfortunately, most end up with less money in their pocket and no one new in their down line. This is really frustrating. The leads are just not targeted. Network marketers need a system to brand themselves and generate leads. This way….you end up with people in your downline AND some $$ cha-ching in your back pocket, or if you’re a gal like me in your purse. Watch my video to learn MORE!

Strive to Be Authentic everyday in life and network marketing.

Posted on 10. Mar, 2010 ·View Comments

The world today has so many false realities. We all need to strive to be authentic everyday and share who we are. When we are doing any marketing, especially video marketing, it is important to let the real you and the real me shine through. Banish any and all false reality. It feels wonderful to embrace our idiosyncrasies and build upon our strengths. Remember, it’s never too late to tap into who you really are.
-Be proud of who you are
-Don’t try to be perfect
-Surround yourself with people who appreciate you for you.
Not being authentic is smothering and hard work! So hold your head high, get out there, and let’s celebrate who we authentically are.

90 Day Video Challenge to energize you and your business!

Posted on 08. Mar, 2010 ·View Comments

Ahh! We all need a kick in the shorts! Today Mia Davies sent out an invitation to join a FaceBook group that is doing a 90 day video challenge. I love video marketing. But, to do one everyday for 90 days? Yes, it will be a challenge but let’s think about this. Part of growing as an internet marketer is doing things that might be uncomfortable for us AT FIRST. It’s like riding a bike. The more we do it the more comfortable we will get.

Also, most of our time should be spent doing lead generation activities. What can videos do?  They are essential tool for branding and absolutely are a lead generation tool.

How to NOT Market on FaceBook and commit social blunders.

Posted on 24. Feb, 2010 ·View Comments

Oh no! Have you committed a Faux Pas on FaceBook….a social blunder? You need to keep it in check, or the dreaded “unfriending” or even worse being “blocked” could occur. Not to worry. Here are some quick tips on how NOT to market on FaceBook.

1. When you send a friend request, tell them WHY you are requesting them by including a message. I equate this to extending a proper handshake when meeting for the first time. If you know the person, then you might not to send a message with the request. If you don’t know them, then you have to say WHY you are requesting the connection. By doing so, you are creating more valuable connections.

2. Put up a nice profile picture. Don’t worry it’s not a beauty contest. If someone requests me, and they don’t have a profile pic, I wonder what they are hiding. Do you wear a mask when you go to a party? This is a time to show your personality so don’t put up a stiff photo either. But, don’t get wild and crazy either. Keep it simple.

3. Please, please don’t blast your opportunity on your friends’ walls.. If they’ve asked you about it, that’s one thing. If you have a valuable webinar to share, that’s fine too. I have a friend that I know nothing about, except that he constantly pitches his opportunity on my wall. You don’t take a sign into a party blasting your opportunity. So, it’s really the same type of thing.

4. Don’t send those silly gifts, cards, or throw snow balls at your pals. Again this is a wall clogger and prevents your “business” friends from seeing the updates they want to. I realize that these can be removed in your FaceBook settings but who has time to go through all those settings. No one really looks at the gifts anyway. Plus, snowballs can hurt!

5. So many network marketers say they don’t have enough time to get all their marketing strategies done in a day. So, if that’s true, then why are you playing Farmville and Vampire Wars? If you are getting all the leads you need in a day, then play away. I understand needing a break but go for a walk or read a book.

FaceBook is an such an amazing tool! It is wonderful for reconnecting with old pals from the past and making new business connections. But, let’s remember it’s Social Media. So be social and interactive first. By doing so, you won’t be committing any FaceBook Faux Pas. Show a little bit of who you are. This is really the best way to connect.

If you want to learn how to market on FaceBook correctly, here’s a link for a free training.

This training is ideal if you find that you are spending about 30 minutes a day on FaceBook. It’s also an ideal marketing strategy regardless of your budget.

New Twitter Tools UPDATE on Market Me Tweet

Posted on 14. Feb, 2010 ·View Comments

UPDATE 3/24
This is a quick update. I have been using Market Me Tweet for a few weeks now. The fact that it brands my tweets with my blog name is dynamite. I also have used it to schedule tweets. I have seen an increase in my traffic from twitter because of that.

****Their customer service ROCKS*** Tammy one of the creators has answered my emails personally.

What I don’t like is that the screen it smal. HOWEVER, there will be an update in a few months and it will be a full size screen. At that time, the price may increase so 39.99 now is a steal.
Market Me Tweet has several other wonderful features. You can follow conversations, create campaigns, follow and unfollow. Check out their tour for these. I’m only using it for the above features mentioned. I encourage you to check it out.

1 Billion Reasons to use online video marketing

Posted on 10. Feb, 2010 ·View Comments

Haven’t you heard? YouTube announced on their blog they have over 1 billion views a day. WOW! Think about the traffic you could generate to your website or blog with just a minuscule fraction on of that.

Okay, so if you are not using online video marketing, do you think you might be missing out? Heck some people make a living on YouTube. If over a billion views doesn’t give you enough of a reason here are a few more.

  1. YouTube is number four in Alexa Rankings.
  2. Video Killed the Radio Star! It costs money to advertise on the radio. It’s FREE on YouTube. Free that means you don’t spend any money.
  3. Online Video Marketing is key if you are trying to brand yourself. People join you and not your company.
  4. Videos can rank organically. Google digs videos.

There are endless reasons to use online video marketing. If a billion views isn’t enough of a kick in the shorts to get going with it, then I’m not sure what is. Have fun with it, be authentic, have a purpose, and a call to action.
