Haven’t you heard? YouTube announced on their blog they have over 1 billion views a day. WOW! Think about the traffic you could generate to your website or blog with just a minuscule fraction on of that.

Okay, so if you are not using online video marketing, do you think you might be missing out? Heck some people make a living on YouTube. If over a billion views doesn’t give you enough of a reason here are a few more.

1. YouTube is number four in Alexa Rankings.
2. Video Killed the Radio Star! It costs money to advertise on the radio. It’s FREE on YouTube. Free that means you don’t spend any money.
3. Online Video Marketing is key if you are trying to brand yourself. People join you and not your company.
4. Videos can rank organically. Google digs videos.

There are endless reasons to use online video marketing. If a billion views isn’t enough of a kick in the shorts to get going with it, then I’m not sure what is. Have fun with it, be authentic, have a purpose, and a call to action.

I am a bit of a risk taker. However, this does not apply to snow skiing!

So, I learned to ski when I was younger, but never really got into it or got very good. Well, I tried skiing again a few years ago. After I took a ten year break from it! Hmmm, does your body change in 10 years?…yes! It really just became an annual thing. So again, how could I get any better?

A few weeks ago, there I was on the bunny slope really feeling uncomfortable. BUT, I kept pushing and pushing. And, you know what? I found myself getting better and having a little finesse to my skiing! I stood at the top of each slope. I paused for a moment. Selected my path, and down I went.

I find that this is true with so many things in life. You MUST select your path and go. It will be uncomfortable at first, but then you will get your stride. Please note, I will NOT be attempting any double diamonds anytime soon. However, you can bet I will give a black diamond a go next time!

With online marketing or any type of internet marketing, you need to push yourself everyday. Consistency is really the key. Select your path and go with it! Just because you don’t see immediate results with something doesn’t mean it’s not working. Things take time and you MUST press on!
